Delete and Merge [26 June 2011]

Hello,

i saw the John Cheneys b. 1340 that you marked Speedy Delete and merged them. I wanted to point you to the features that permit you to do the same thing if you need to. If you are the only person watching a page, when you click on the "more" option on the left hand side of the page, you should see a "delete" option. Alternatively, there's an option under that menu that says "show duplicates." That will run a search for other similar pages, then allow you to compare and merge them. Because it relies on search, it's not available for a little while after a page is created, but it works better than delete if you've put different details on each page or are not the only one watching. Thank you for the help in cleaning up! I'm very new to Werelate and had trouble finding out how to delete. I've also learned to be more patient when adding people and to not keep clicking add. ...Chris--Chrisb 11:08, 26 June 2011 (EDT)
