had Elizabeth b. 8 Oct. 1693; David, 8 Feb. 1695; Sarah, 24 Oct. 1696, d.
at two yrs.; Matthew, 2 Sept. 1698; Isaac, 18 Jan. 1702, H. C. 1722,
first of the name in the catal.; Job, 16 Mar. 1710; and Margaret, wh.
d. 26 Sept. 1711. He d. 9 Oct. 1714, and his wid. d. 23 Au. 1716.
From him, beside Isaac, are derived Abner, H. C. 1788; Levi, H. C.
1789; and Rev. Calvin, H. C. 1820. EPHRAIM, Hingham, younger s.
of the first Daniel, by w. Mary had Mary, b. 28 Nov. 1714; Ephraim,
3 Feb. 1717, d. 1795; and Susanna, 27 June 1721. He d. 1762, aged
95. JAMES, Hingham, br. of David, m. 28 Feb. 1711, Deborah, eldest
d. of the sec. Samuel L. had James, b. 2 Nov. 1711, d. next mo. as did
his w. He had sec. w. Joanna, wh. d. 4 Jan. 1726, and he d. 3 May
1731. JOHN, Taunton, s. of Thomas, the miller, had John, b. 11 Oct.
1665; and Thomas, 15 Sept. 1667; but I kn. no more of him or his
progeny. JOSEPH, Hingham, br. of Benjamin, freem. perhaps 1670, m.
14 June 1682, Prudence, d. of Andrew Ford of Weymouth, wh. d. 26
Nov. 1695, had Joseph, b. 13 Mar. 1683; Israel, 17 Apr. 1685; Nehemiah,
4 May 1688; and Elisha, 2 Oct. 1692. He m. 27 Feb. 1696,
Sarah, wid. of Hopestill Bisbee, but prob. had no ch. for his will, of 5
Mar. 1715, names her as his w. but only the four ch. of the former. He
d. 18 Mar. 1716. JOSHUA, Hingham, br. of Caleb, perhaps the freem.
of 1670, m. 20 Apr. 1666, Deborah, d. of Joshua Hobart, had Peter, b.
6 June 1667, d. at one yr.; Joshua, 9 May 1669; Peter, again, 19 Jan.
1671; Jacob, 5 Mar. 1673, d. next mo.; Deborah, 31 Aug. 1674;
Margaret, 14 May 1677; Caleb, 9 Oct. 1678; Jacob, 21 Mar. 1681;
Solomon, 25 Nov. 1682; and Isaac, 14 Nov. 1684; his w. d. Nov.
1684; and a ch. prob. the last, d. 29 Dec. 1689; and he d. 2 Apr.
1694. MORDECAI, Hingham, s. of the first Samuel, rem. to Scituate,
by w. Sarah there had Mordecai, b. 24 Apr. 1686; Abraham, 13 Jan.
1689; Isaac, 21 Oct. 1691; and Sarah, 29 July 1694. ROBERT, Boston
1646, laborer, whose w. Ann unit. with the ch. 9 Mar. 1647; liv. at
Rumney Marsh, or Winisemet, d. 6 May 1663. SAMUEL, Hingham,
came from the city of Norwich, with Francis Lawes, of Salem, a weaver,
prob. his apprent. 1637, but the old Cushing MS. says, he was of old
Hingham, aged 18, went, perhaps, on reach. his majority, to H. where
liv. his br. Thomas, a weaver, also, by w. Martha had Samuel, bapt. 25
Aug. 1650; Daniel, 1 or 2 Jan. 1653, bef. ment.; Mordecai, b. 19, bapt.
24 June 1655, d. soon; Mordecai, again, 14 June 1657; Mary, b. 27
Mar. 1662; Thomas, 20 Aug. 1664; Martha, 11 Dec. 1667; a d. 13
Aug. 1669; prob. d. without a name; Sarah, 17 June 1671; and Rebecca,
11 Mar. 1674; and he d. 26 May 1690. His wid. d. 10 Apr.
1693. Mary, m. 3 Jan. 1684, Joseph Bates; Rebecca, m. 14 May 1695
