Hutch. I. 356. SAMUEL, Boston 1682, perhaps s. of the preced. had
Theophilus, bapt. 24 Aug. 1690; Samuel, 5 June 1692; Mehitable, 4
Feb. 1694; Elizabeth 1 Mar. 1696; Edward, 27 Feb. 1698; and Abigail,
19 Nov. 1699. SAMUEL, Reading, freem. 1691. Oft. the name is
Lilley.

    LINCOLN, BENJAMIN, Hingham, youngest s. of Thomas, the cooper,
m. 6 Jan. or as the old Hobart rec. says, 6 Feb. 1667, Sarah, d. of the
first John Fearing, had John, b. 5 Jan. 1668; Margaret, 7 Oct. 1669, d.
at 14 yrs.; Benjamin, 16 Jan. 1672; Thomas, 12 Dec. 1674, d. within
9 mos.; Jeremiah, 1 Apr. 1682; and Jonathan, 28 Sept. 1684, d. within
3 yrs. He was a maltster, freem. 1677, and d. 27 Sept. 1700. His s.
Benjamin had col. Benjamin, f. of Benjamin, the soldier friend of
Washington, wh. d. 9 May 1810. His s. Benjamin, H. C. 1777, wh. d.
18 Jan. 1788, by w. Mary, younger of the two ds. of the celebr. James
Otis, had Benjamin, H. C. 1806; and James Otis, H. C. 1807. CALEB,
Hingham, s. of Thomas, the husbandman, m. 8 May 1684, Rachel, d. of
James Bates, had Ruth, b. 11 Feb. 1685; Rachel, 4 June 1688 ; Ann,
15 Sept. 1690; Silence, 26 Dec. 1692; and Luke, 27 Mar. 1695. His
w. d. 10 Nov. 1696, and he m. 2 Sept. 1698, Hannah Jackson, and he d.
Nov. 1721, unless this date belong to a neph. of the same name. DANIEL,
Hingham 1644, a young man of wh. we are not sure that he was a relat.
of any earlier person bearing this surname, by w. Susanna, wh. d. 20
Feb. 1704, had Susanna, b. 14 May 1654; Daniel, 22 Feb. 1657, d.
young; Hannah, 10 Sept. 1659; Daniel, again, a. 1662; Sarah, 7 Sept.
1664; Ephraim, 26 May 1667; and Rachel, 27 June 1671; and he d.
19 Mar. 1699. In his will, of 16 Sept. 1692, he names w. the four ds.
and two s. as liv. Three of the ds. were then m. viz.: Susanna, on 1
Oct. 1675, to Robert Waterman; Hannah, 17 Nov. 1682, to John Lewis;
and Sarah, 1 Apr. 1687, to Nathaniel Nichols, and she d. at Pembroke,
1748. DANIEL, Hingham, s. of the first Samuel, m. 23 Jan. 1678, Elizabeth
d. of Thomas Lincoln, the husbandman, had Obadiah, b. 21 Apr. 1679;
Hezekiah, 26 Dec. 1681; Elizabeth 26 Feb. 1689; and Martha, 13 Feb.
1695. DANIEL, Hingham, s. of the first Daniel, m. 16 Apr. 1687, Sarah
Nichols, had Moses, b. 25 Feb. 1688, d. 1772; Sarah, 15 Apr. 1690;
Susanna, 19 Dec. 1693; Leah, 9 Sept. 1698; Daniel, 28 Feb. 1698;
