1696; and Abigail, 17 Feb. 1703; and d. 1727. JAMES, Hull 1669,
may be he who d. at Sudbury, 21 Nov. 1678, unless this were a ch.
JOHN, Watertown 1638, one of the first sett. of Sudbury 1639, freem.
13 May 1640, selectman and deac. had brought from Eng. s. John, and
perhaps other ch. with w. Bridget, who d. 6 Apr. 1660, and he rem. to
Roxbury, there m. 9 Aug. 1660, Ann, or Annis, wid. of John Dane, who
had bef. been wid. of William Chandler; and he d. 1 May 1671, aged
83. In his will, he names this w. and s.-in-law John Woods, h. of his d.
Mary, and gr. s. John, his s. of that name being some yrs. d. and this
gr. s. made one of the excors. The will of his wid. 1 Nov. 1672, pro.
eleven yrs. after, names her first h.'s childr. John, Thomas, and William
Chandler, Hannah, w. of George Abbot, and Sarah, w. of William
Cleaves. JOHN, Sudbury, s. of the preced. b. in Eng. freem. 10 May
1643, had by w. Amy, who d. 1681, John, b. a. 1639; Joseph, 12 Mar.
1642; Mary, 10 June 1644; George; Benjamin; and Lydia, 16 Oct.
1655, who d. bef. her f. and he d. as Barry says, tho. I think, with slight
error, 12 Apr. 1666; Mary, m. 1670, Richard Burk; and Lydia m. 5
June 1681, Thomas Pratt. JOHN, Boston, housewright, by w. Judith, had
Judith, b. 14 Feb. 1667, d. soon; Elizabeth 8 Feb. 1668; John, 31 Oct. 1670,
d. soon; Judith, again, 17 July 1672; John, again, 17 Nov. 1674; and
Lydia, Jan. 1677; and by sec. w. Hannah, d. prob. of Richard Williams
of Taunton, had Elizabeth again, 3 Sept. 1688. JOHN, Sudbury, s. of the
sec. John of the same, by w. Elizabeth had Sarah, b. 29 Aug. 1668; Mary,
15 Oct. 1670; Elizabeth 9 Dec. 1672; John, 9 Apr. 1678; Joseph, 24 Aug.
1685; and d. prob. 1719, at least Barry says his will was pro. 10 Nov.
of that yr. Confus. of this last John, with ano. seems to have attend.
the dilig. collector in Genal. Reg. VI. 390. JOSEPH, Braintree,
s. of Robert, M. Sarah, d. of Edmund Sheffield, freem. 1678, was
town clk. 1699-1709, d. 20 Feb. 1737. ROBERT, Braintree, freem.
1650, by w. Leah, had John, b. 23 Oct. 1653, d. next mo.; Joseph, 20
Dec. 1655; Eliz. 22 Oct. 1657; and Hannah, 17 Jan. 1659; was deac.
and d. 27 June 1696, in his 74th yr. The name is sometimes pronounced
Parmiter.

    PARNELL, FRANCIS, Salem, m. 13 Jan. perhaps 1667, Mary
Stacy, had Francis, b. 28 Oct. foll. wh. d. in four wks.; Mary, 6 Mar.
1669; Moses, 21 June 1670; and Joseph, 22 Nov. 1673. JOHN, Dover
1666-8, perhaps had w. Mary d. of Henry Stacy. THOMAS, Pemaquid,
sw. fidel. to Mass. 1674. A capt. Francis P. d. at Boston, Oct. 1724.
