was one of the first sett. of Wallingford, its rep. 1674, lieut. and late in
1675 capt. of the dragoons of the Co. and contin. propr. at New Haven,
but d. at W. 13 Feb. 1694, aged 80. Hannah m. 12 Nov. 1668, John Ives;
and Mary m. a Curtis. Abigail, m. 18 Jan. 1671, John Hitchcock.

descend. JAMES, Boston 1655. JOHN, Scituate 1643, perhaps earlier,
was br. of Henry. JOHN, a soldier, k. by the Ind. at Bloody brook
with "the flower of Essex" under capt. Lothrop, 18 Sept. 1675. JOHN,
Marblehead, perhaps s. of Nicholas, was freem. 1684. JOHN, Scituate,
had w. Elizabeth and d. 5 June 1740, in his 80th yr. and his wid. d. 13 Apr.
1746, aged 82. NICHOLAS, Marblehead, 1648, or earlier, in his will of
17 July 1685, pro. 9 Dec. 1686, names his ch.: Martha Owens, Rebecea
Chin, helpless d. Mary, John, James, Samuel, and Nicholas. SAMUEL,
Marblehead, s. of the preced. sign. the petitn. 1669, against imposts.

    MERROW or MERO, HENRY, Woburn, m. 19 Dec. 1660, Jane Wallis,
had ch. b. 14 Sept. 1662, prob. was most of his days of Reading, freem.
1677, d. 1685; had, I suppose, John and Samuel, as Mr. Eaton gives
their names among early sett. at R.

    MERRY, CORNELIUS, Northampton, an Irishman, had gr. of ld. 1663,
m. 1663, Rachell Ballard, had John, b. 1664, wh. d. soon; John, again, b.
1665; Sarah, 1668; Rachael, 1670; Cornelius; Leah; and perhaps, others;
w. in the Falls fight, and a the war rem. John, the s. went to L. I. Cornelius
at Hartford, had nine ch. b. 1702-18. JOHN, Boston, by w.
Constance had Jonathan, b. 3 Sept. 1663. JOSEPH, Haverhill 1640,
perhaps rem. to Hampton, thence to Edgartown a. 1678, had w. Elizabeth
there, and d. 5 Apr. 1710, in 103d yr. says tradit. A d. of his was w.
of Timothy Hilliard of Hampton 1669. WALTER, Boston, shipwright,
had whf. and dwell. and warehouse conven. for his trade, at the point
bearing his name, later call. N. Battery; by 3 w. Rebecca of our ch.
29 Dec. 1633, and he the 9th Feb. foll. had Jeremia, bapt. 15 Dec.
1634, d. soon; Rebecea, 18 Dec. 1636; and Jeremiah, Jan. 1638, d.
soon, and his w. d. perhaps not long aft. He m. sec. w. Mary Dolens or

, 18 Aug. 1653, had Sylvanus, 8 Apr. 1665, d. soon; and
