Martha, 28 Apr. 1661; and Henry, 31 July 1664. JAMES, Boston, of
wh. I kn. only that he d. 1690. JOHN, Dorchester, s. of Henry, d. bef.
mid. a leav. ds. Sarah and Hannah.
MERWIN, MILES, Milford, where Lambert reports him in 1645, had
Elizabeth; John; Abigail; Thomas; Samuel, b. 21 Aug. 1656; and Miles,
14 Dec. 1638; Daniel, 1661, d. young; Martha and Mary, tw. 23 Jan.
1666, Hannah, 1667; and Deborah, 1670; all the first six nam. in the
will of his aunt Abigail, wid. of Rev. John Warham, wh. had bef. been
wid. of John Branker, made in 1684, when he calls hims. 60 yrs. old,
but in 1692 says a. 70. He d. 23 Apr. 1697, aged a. 74, in his will of 18
May 1695, names third w. Sarah and all the s. liv. four in number, and
sev. gr.ch. The inv. 12 May 1697, names six ds. by the surnames of
their hs. His first wh. name is untold, d. 10 July 1664; his sec.
was Sarah, wid. of Thomas Beach, wh. d. 1670. Elizabeth m. Canfield;
Abigail m. a Scofield; Martha m. James Prince; Mary m. a Hull;
Hannah m. Abel Holbrook; and Deborah m. a Burwell; MILES, Milford,
s. of the preced. m. 20 Sept. 1681, Hannah, wid. of Samuel Miles,
had Ann, b. 17 Jan. foll. at New Haven, prob. others.; SAMUEL, New
Haven, elder br. of the preced. m. 16 Dec. 1682, Sarah, d. of William Wooden.
THOMAS, Norwalk, soon aft. 1672, a propr. 1685, s. of the first Miles,
May have had ch. for the name was there diffus. in the third generat.
Six of this name have been gr. at Yale.
MESSER, EDWARD, New Hampsh. 1689. Kelly.
MESSINGER, ANDREW, Norwalk, 1672, may have been as early as
1639 at New Haven, in 1687 had good est. but no ment. of him aft. is
found. EBENEZER, Boston, youngest s. of Henry, by w. Rose had Ebenezer,
b. 30 Mar. 1688; and Henry, 8 July 1689. EDWARD, Windsor,
had Dorcas, b. 1650; Nathaniel, 1653; but no more is heard of him.
Dorcas m. Peter Mills. HENRY, Boston, by w. Sarah had John, b. 25
Mar. bapt. in right of his w. 25 Apr. 1641; Sarah, 12 Mar. 1643, a. 6
days old; Simeon, 28 Mar. 1645, a. 4 days old; Henry; Ann, bapt.
20 Jan. 1650, a. 13 days old; Rebecca, b. 26 June 1652; Lydia and
Priscilla, tw. 22 Nov. 1656, b. both certain. the latter, d. young; Thomas
22 Mar. 1661; and Ebenezer, 25 0ct. 1665. He was a joiner, ar. co.
1658, freem. 1665, perhaps a short time, a. 1656, at Jamnica, L. I. for one
of that name is ment. in Thompson's Hist. The will, of 15 Mar. 1678,
