Facts and Events
Joseph was a resident of Haverhill, MA in 1640 and had a wife named Mary. In
1654 they moved to Hampton, NH. There his wife died 4/4/1657. Joseph was 49
years old a widower with a young son when he married the widow Elizabeth who was
21 years his junior. They continued to live in Hampton until 1670 when Joseph
moved to Martha's Vineyard. Joseph lived out his long life on the Vineyard,
passing the century mark in 1707.
