Elizabeth 14 Aug. 1681, and, perhaps, rem. RICHARD, Roxbury 1663,
freem. 1665, had Richard, a mariner, wh. d. bef. 15 Feb. 1679, when
the f. took admin. on the st. but that s. was, I think, not b. at R. The
f. m. 6 Nov. 1678, Mary, a sec. w. and d. I believe, 21 Feb. 1689.
THOMAS, Salem, m. 31 Jan. 1673, Mary, perhaps wid. of Thomas Day.
WILLIAM, Gloucester, 1641, one of the selectmen 1647, rem. to New
London, bef. Oct. 1653, wben he w as rep. but never aft. tho. liv. 1669.
WILLIAM, Roxbury, br. of Richard, had Rebecca, and d. Oct.
1683, and his wid. 8 days aft. His will, made the day of his d. if the
rec. be right, pro. 2 Nov. 11. foll. names only br. Richard, w. Rebecca, and
s. in-law Joseph, Stanton, tho. undutiful. The wid. made her will 5, pro.
15 Nov. foll. Nineteen of the name had, in 1834, been gr. at the coll.
of N. E. of wh. only one was of Harv.

    MEADER, JOHN, Dover 1653, by w. Abigail, had Elizabeth b. 26 Mar.
1665; John; Sarah, 11 Jan. 1669; and Nathaniel, 14 June 1671, wh.
k. by the Ind. 23 Apr. 1704, and, perhaps, Nicholas. Sarah m. 16
Mar. 1692, Edward Wakeham. Belkn. I. 168; and Niles, in 3 Mass.
Hist. Coll. VI. 254. NATHANIEL, Dover, s. of the preced. by w.
Eleanor had Lydia, b. 25 Aug. 1696; Daniel, 3 Nov. 1698; Nathaniel,
8 Mar. 1700; Elizabeth 3 Apr. 1702; and Eleanor, posthum. 3 June 1704.
NICHOLAS, Dover, perhaps br. of the preced. w. Lydia had Keziah,
23 June 1709; Samuel, 15 Jan. 1711; Nicholas, 9 Oct, 1712; John,
8 Oct. 1715; and Daniel, 6 Nov. 1718.

    MEADOWS, PHILIP, Roxbury m. Apr. 16 1641, Elizabeth d. of Stephen
Iggulden or Iggleden, had Hannah, b. 1 Feb. 1643. Perhaps he rem.
for no more is found of him in the rec.

    MEAKINS or MEEKINS, JOHN, Hartford, is in the list of freem. 1669,
d. 1706, leav. wid. Mary, ds. Mary Belden, Sarah Spencer, beside Rebecca,
and Hannah, unm. when his will of 1702 was made, and three s.
John, Joseph, and Samuel. Of these, John was. a lieut. d. 1739, aged 76;
Samuel was a lieut. d. 1733, in 60th yr. The wid. wh. may have been
sec. w. was d. of John Biddle, and she d. 1725 in 78th yr. THOMAS,
Boston 1633, came prob. in the Griffin, adm. with w. Catharine of Boston
ch. 2 Feb. foll. then call. "serv. to our br. Edmund Quincy," freem.
9 Mar. 1637 prob. d. in few yrs. and his wid. went to live at Roxbury,
with a s. Thomas, there d. "an aged woman," as Eliot writes "mo. of br.
Meakins," 3 Feb. 1651. THOMAS, Braintree, s. of the preced. b. in
Eng. came, no doubt, with his f. and mo. 1633, "serv. to our br. Edmund
Quincy," as on adm. to the ch. 30 Mar. foll. he is call. was freem. 25
