1638, was clk. reg. of prob. of the courts, marshal, town clk. and reg. of deeds,
Coffin thot.; m. Mary Waite, had Thomas, b. 1633; Robert, a. 1634;
Samuel, 1640; Joseph, d. young; Nathaniel, d. 1658; and ds. Abigail,
wh. m. 26 Feb. 1666, Jacob Foster; Hannah; and ano. wh. m. a Chandler;
and he d. perhaps 12 May 1650. A wid. Catharine L. wh. had gr.
of ld. at I. 1641, may have been his mo. and it was prob. his s. wh. d. 11
Nov. 1696. ROBERT, Boston, by w. Rebecca (d. I suppose, of Christopher
Stanley by Susanna his w. who aft. m. William Phillips, and in
her will calls Rebecca her d. in 1650), had Robert, b. Apr. 1651;
Thomas, 18 May 1653, a. soon; and d. as Farmer thot. in Charlestown,
13 July 1678. Perhaps, as he came in the same sh. with Stanley and
his w. he may be s. of the first Thomas by Porter call. sea capt. but we
kn. nothing more of him, exc. that his mo. in her will, 1670, names him,
unless he were that Robert of London, sued in 1675, by his neph.
Richard. ROBERT, Salem 1692, a blacksmith, prob. s. of the first
Robert. SAMUEL, Charlestown, perhaps s. of Robert of Ipswich, by
w. Elizabeth had Joshua; Robert; and Elizabeth all bapt. 21 May 1676; Nathaniel,
30 May 1680; and his w. d. and he m. 16 Dec. 1684, Rebecca
Eddington, d. 27 May 1696, in 56th yr. says the gr.stone. THOMAS,
Hartford, came in the Elizabeth and Ann, 1635, from London, aged 50,
with w. Dorothy, 46; and ch. Thomas, 16; Ann, 14; William, 12;
John, 10; Robert, 9; Amie, 6; and Dorothy, 4; call. at the London
custom-ho. a smith; but that may have been a godly deception. His
eldest s. Richard, had been sent over three yrs. bef. and Thomas stopped
at Boston, or Cambridge a yr. or more, but was an orig. propr. and among
first sett. at H. Date of his a. is not ascert. but it was a. 1667. His wid. Dorothy,
wh. a. 2 Aug. 1676, made her will 8 Feb. 1670, in wh. she names ch.
of her dec. s. Thomas; a. Ann, w. of Thomas Stanton; William; John;
Robert; Amie, w. of John Gilbert; gr.s. Richard, bef. ment.; and gr.ch.
Hannah; Dorothy; and Margaret, ch. of d. Dorothy, w. of John Ingersoll.
THOMAS, Wethersfield, s. of the preced. b. in Eng. was a physician
and surg. for whose serv. the Gen. Ct. made liberal contr. in
1652, as in Trumbull, Col; Rec. 1. 234, appears, correct. stat. by Hinman,
47; but he mistakes in call. him the earliest on the rec. He was also
employ. as sch.master; by w. Mary had Hannah, b. 1656; Mary, 1659;
and prob. Sarah; beside Dorothy, the first b. 17 Aug. 1653. He d. a.
1661, and his wid. m. an Olmstead. THOMAS, Boston, m. 23 Sept.
1652, Hannah Thurston, but of h. or w. no more is kn. and it may be
that he did not inhab. at Boston, but came here only to be m. by Bellingham.
At least no issue is kn. THOMAS, Charlestown, s. of Robert of
Ipswich, there liv. sev. yrs. and rem. with w. Alice, d. of Robert Rand of
C. a. 1666, d. 4 June 1713, aged 80. His wid. Alice (by wh. he bad
Nathaniel and Mary, tw. bapt. 4 Nov. 1666; Elizabeth 23 Aug. 1668;
