sec. John Batch, now w. of the sec. William Dodge, and her
five ch.; Sarah, and her ch. John and four ds.; a gr.ch. Rebecca C.
whose f. may have been either of the s. John, or Roger; beside cous. Mary,
w. of Hilliard Verin, but whose d. is unkn.; Adoniram Veren, and his
sis. Hannah, with her two ch. and three ds. of his cous. James Mason,
dec. and it is equally unkn. wh. she was. Of Exercise, perhaps the
third s. b. at Cape Ann, a. 1636, bapt. 24 Dec. 1637; Joshua; and
Lot, above, is all that is kn. to me; John was of Beverly ch. 1671,
prob. d. bef. his f.; Roger, the first b. ch. at Salem is spok. of next.
His w. was Sarah, but neither h. nor w. unit. early with the ch. ROGER,
SaIem, s. of the preced. the first ch. (said the rec. as early as 1640) b.
in Salem (tho. the c]aim has been by a recent tradit. put in for John
Massey), and had a gr. of ld. on that score, says Felt; had John, bapt.
26 May 1662, was of Marblehead, there d. Saturday 15 June 1672, as
his w. wrote in her Bible, still to be seen. His youngest s. Samuel d.
not 9 May preced. as oft. said, but Saturday 4 May, as his mo. wrote.
3 Mass. Hist. Coll. VII. 255. At Charlestown the fam. was cont. Four
of the name had, 1834, been gr. at Harv. five at Yale, and five at the
other N. E. coll.

    CONCKLIN, ANANIAS, Salem 1638, freem. 18 May 1642, had Lewis,
bapt. 30 Apr. 1643; Jacob, and Elizabeth 18 Mar. 1649; rem. to Long Isl.
CORNELIUS, Salem, d. 21 Mar. 1668. JEREMIAH, L. I. m.
Mary, d. of Lyon Gardiner, d. 1712, in 78th yr. JOHN, Salem,
perhaps, at least he is in Felt's list, as hav. gr. of ld. 1640, and he,
and Ananias, prob. his s. were there in 1645; was of Southold, L.
I. adm. freem. of Conn. 1662, as was John jr. perhaps his s.

    CONDY, COUNDY or CANDY, SAMUEL, Marblehead 1668-74,
by first w. Rebecca had Esther, wh. m. a Green, perhaps Charles; and
by sec. w. Ann had Ann, wh. m. a Salter, perhaps Matthew, as in his
will of 9 Feb. 1678, Essex Inst. II. 277. is seen. It gives to Ann and
her childr. and top Mary and Charles, ch. of Esther. THOMAS, a
soldier in Turner's comp. Feb. 1676, prob. of Boston. WILLIAM,
New London, had a lot gr. 1664, was master of a vessel in the West
Ind. trade, m. Mary, d. of Ralph Parker, had Richard, William, Ebenezer,
and Ralph, all bapt. 23 Mar. 1673; rem. to Boston, was master of
a vessel going to London, in 1679, tak. by the Algerines; d. 26 Aug.
1685. WILLIAM, Boston, prob. s. of the preced. by w. Elizabeth had Jeremiah,
b. 2 Jan. 1683, wh. by w. Susanna had beside sev. others, first
William, b. 15, bapt. 17 Aug. 1707; and Jeremiah, 9, bapt. 20 Feb.
1709, H. C. 1726, a disting. min. of Boston in the first Bapt. ch. He
was, I presume, a capt. and his wid. m. 3 Nov. 1696, Nathaniel
Thomas, Esq. as sec. w. and d. 11 Oct. 1713, aged 60.

    CONE, CALEB, Haddarn, s. of the first Daniel, by first w. Elizabeth m. 16
Dec. 1701, wh. d. 14 Nov. 1714, had Caleb, b. 12 Jan. bapt. 16 July
1704; Joseph, 26 Jan. bapt. 3 June 1705; Noah, 14 July, bapt. 21
Sept. 1707; Elisha, 11 Sept. bapt. 23 Oct. 1709, wh. d. 6 Mar. 1809,
hav. been deac. 67 yrs.; E;liz. 22 Jan. bapt. 4 May 1712; and Joshua, b.
