    CHALCROFT, RICHARD, Salem 1668.

    CHALICE, CHALLIS or CHELLIS, PHILIP, Salisbury, was at Ipswich
1637, then 20 yrs. old, m. Mary, d. of William Sargent, had John, b. 9 July
1653, d. soon; John, again, 26 June 1655; William, d. soon; Philip, 19
Dec. 1658; William, again, 18 May 1663; and Lydia, 31 May 1665;
He was a weaver from London. beside Thomas; Elizabeth; Mary, wh.
m. Joseph Dow sec.; Watson; and Hannah; was rep. 1662.

    CHALKER, ABRAHAM, Saybrook, s. of Alexander, m. 16 Jan. 1680,
Hannah, d. of Zechary Sanford, had Hannah, b. 25 Mar. 1682; and his
w. d. 7 Dec. 1683. He m. 23 Sept. 1686, Sarah Ingham, had Abraham,
1 Sept. foll. and mo. and ch. d. in few days. ALEXANDER, Saybrook, m.
29 Sept. 1649, Catharine Post, prob. d. of Stephen, had Stephen, b. 8
Sept. 1650; Samuel; Mary, 27 Apr. 1653; Abraham, 19 Oct. 1655;
Catharine, 8 Sept. 1657; Sarah, 19 Oct. 1659; Jane, 25 Mar. 1662;
and Alexander, 24 Feb. 1666. His wid. m. 23 Sept. 1673, John Hills;
and d. Mary m. 7 Mar. 1678, Richard Cozzens. SAMUEL, Saybrook, s.
of the preced. m. 31 Oct. or 7 Nov. (the rec. with suspicious impartial.
giv. ea. date) 1676, Phebe, d. of Robert Bull, had Stephen, b. 11 Sept.
1677; Samuel, 6 Oct. 1679; Phebe, 29 Mar. 1682, d. young; Phebe,
again, 9 May 1685; beside Alexander, Mehitable, and Ruth; and d.
1711, when Alexander was 20 yrs. old.

    CHALKLEY or CHAULKLEY, in Col. Rec. ROBERT, Charlestown 1646,
freem. 1647, d. 2 Sept. 1672. His will of 27 Aug. preced. gives all his
est. to w. Elizabeth wh. d. at C. 13 Oct. 1678.

    CHALKWELL, EDWARD, Windsor, made his will 17 Oct. 1648, and d.
in few wks. as in Trumbull, Col. Rec. I. 492, where we infer, that he
had no w. nor ch. nor much est.

    CHAMBERLAIN, oft. CHAMBERLIN, ABRAHAM, Newton 1691, was, perhaps,
s. of William of Woburn. BENJAMIN, prob. of Roxbury, and s.
of Richard, was a soldier at Hadley in 1676. EDMUND, or possib. EDWARD,
Woburn, m. 4 Jan. 1647, at Roxbury, Mary Turner, perhaps sis.
of John, had Mary, bapt. 16 Apr. 1648 at R.; Sarah, b. 18 Dec. 1649;
and ano. d. 11 Mar. 1652; both at w. rem. to Chelmsford 1655, there
had Edmund, 20 or 30 May 1656, wh. d. young, as he was in Moseley's
comp. for the hard campaign of Dec. 1675; Jacob, 15 Oct. 1658; was
