Samuel Jackson Suggest that there is four hundred and fifty acres of land in Stafford County and on the main run of Quanticott Creek not yet granted and for which he obtained a warrat (sic) Signed and Sealed in the office which is returned by a survey under the hand of Mr. Theodrick Bland, and deed granted thereon the fifteenth of October one thousand six hundred and ninty four, which follows:
Margarett Lady Culpeper etc. to all etc. whereas etc. for and in consideration of the composition etc. we do grant etc. to him the said Jackson all that tract etc. containing four hundred and fifty acres, bounded as followeth,
Beginning at a poplar standing by the run side on the south side thereof Extending Thence South twenty Eight degrees West eighty poles to a black oak thence north forty eight degrees West one hundred and Thirty eight poles to a black oak in a poyson field, thence west Seventy Six poles to a hickory, Thence north fifteen degrees West one hundred and thirty nine poles to a white oak on a Ridge, thence north forty two degrees East one hundred and seventy four poles to another white oak, thence South forty degrees East three hundred and twenty poles to another white oak thence south fifty degrees & one quarter, West Sixty six poles to the beginning, together with all etc. Royall mines Excepted, and the third part of all Lead etc. to have and to hold etc.to have and to hold etc. Yielding etc. provided etc. which is a clause of ??eenty?? for default of payment of rents, Given etc. Witness our agents etc. dated the fifteenth of October one Thousand, six hundred and ninety four. ~ ~ ~
