This Ordnance Survey map of 1900 from A Vision of Britain through Time locates all the original rural districts established in Wiltshire in 1894. In 1934 there were a number of mergers of neighbouring districts.
Tisbury Rural District was in the southern part of the county on the border with Dorset. It was east of Mere Rural District and east of Wilton Rural District, and south of Warminster Rural District. Tisbury Rural District existed from 1894 until 1934 when it became part of the Mere and Tisbury Rural District.
