Sheering is a village located in the Epping Forest District of the County of Essex, England. It is located 2.8 miles (5 km) north-east of Harlow and 4.5 miles (7 km) south-west of Bishop's Stortford. With the neighbouring village of Lower Sheering it forms the civil parish of Sheering. Sheering Village has about 350 households.

The parish was part of the Epping Rural District from 1894 until 1955, the Epping and Ongar Rural District from 1955 to 1974, and since 1974 it has been located in the Epping Forest District of Essex.
