Person talk:Susannah Booth (5)

Please explain merge just done [23 September 2011]

Gramma's Garden,

Can you please explain your reasoning for merging Susan/Sarah Hallett with Susannah Booth? It's not immediately clearly that these are NOT two separate persons.

Thanks!

Actually they may be the same person. This page says: [1] that Susannah Booth was the fourth wife of Wm. Hallett. My rationale was that it seemed to fit. I saw no info showing a Hallett marriage but the info for Susannah Booth seemed strong. Please go ahead and unmerge it. Thanks,--Sheri 18:23, 2 June 2010 (EDT)

Note: Susannah Booth first married William Hallett and then married Wm. Thorne. [posted by Grama's Garden]

Not my area of expertise, but the sources I find have it reversed. For example this that is viewable on books.google.com (the others I find are on membership websites). So please check your sources. If this source is wrong, present evidence proving it, otherwise, it is your word against the previous researchers, and that gets us nowhere. --Jrich 17:33, 23 September 2011 (EDT)

Just 2 more references proving Susannah's marriages:
From "The Record" April 1961, pg 95: "In this article the children of William and Susannah (Booth) Thorne are recorded as Dr. Eaton named them, with Susannah, purely on conjecture." And the named children were William, John, Joseph, Susannah and Samuel.
and
From "The Record" Jan 1962, pg 29, 30: "In October 1675, he [Joseph Thorne] testified that Susannah Hallet was his mother." --janiejac 17:51, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
