    Clearwater, S.C. - Funeral services for Willie Lee (Red) Attaway, who died Sunday morning in an Aiken hospital after an extended illness, will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Harvey Woodsand and the Rev. Henry Ollerich officiating.
    Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
    A native of Saluda County, he had lived in Clearwater for 37 years and was a retired merchant. He was at one time a notable baseball player in the Clearwater area. He attended the Pine Grove Baptist church and was a member of the Busch Bible class.
    Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Daisy Adams Attaway; two daughters, Mrs. Lucile Jenkins and Mrs. Irene Golden, both of Clearwater; one son Gerald Attaway, Clearwater; one sister, Mrs. Estell Burkhalter, Augusta; two brothers, David E. Attaway, Bath, S.C., and Robert F. Attaway, Augusta; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers will be Frank Gunnels Sr., Bill Carter, John Pridgen, Artis Booth, Jim Herlong and Joe Carter.
