William Swallow was born on 7th January 1724 and baptised later that month at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, son of Elizabeth Swallow, formerly Green, and her husband John Swallow, a tailor. Sadly, William died as a boy of four years old, being buried at Wheathampstead on 13th September 1728.
