Elizabeth Swallow was born on 14th June 1726 and baptised twelve days later at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, daughter of Elizabeth Swallow, formerly Green, and her husband John Swallow, a tailor. Sadly, Elizabeth died as a baby, being buried when just a few weeks old.
