Martha Swallow was born on 2nd August 1727 and baptised later that month at Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, daughter of Elizabeth Swallow, formerly Green, and her husband John Swallow, a tailor. Sadly, Martha died as a baby, being buried when just a few weeks old.
