Vivian WOMACK report says William STREBIG was a fireman, rank Lieutenant; that he owned Hoosier-Keystone Coal Co (with a mine near West Newton, Westmoreland Co, PA) which had offices in Fort Wayne.
Mary K RANSOM took notes in a conversation with her mother, Isabel STREBIG SMITH, who said that Isabel's father adopted the middle initial "B" to distinguish himself from his nephew, William A STREBIG, (son of Isaac) and his credit problems.

William B "Doc" STREBIG, hired 12 Jun 1899, retired 1 Aug 1841, died 29 July 1942, obit in JG 30 Jul 1942, p 2:7. Notes: Worked at # 6's as hoseman from 1899 to 1914. Was Lieutenant in 1914 & 1915. He became a credit union member on 12/22/1933. Buried in Lindenwood Cemetery. He is in a picture at #6's in 1920.
