No trace of this family could be found with an extensive search of the 1850 US Census on www.ancestry.com, which has an every name index. Searches were made on surname, given name and no name (with age and birthplace) for both William and Hannah in New York and New Jersey.

In the 1860 US Census, the remnant of this family resided in the 1st Ward of Brooklyn, Kings County, New York. The household included Hannah Seaver (age 53, female, born MA), George Seaver (age 29, male, hardware, born PA), William Seaver (age 27, male, clerk, born PA), Joseph Seaver (age 25, male, clerk, born NY), Hannah Seaver (age 23, female, born NY), Alexander Seaver (age 20, male, clerk, born NY), Abbie Seaver (age 18, female, born NY, attended school), Frances Seaver (age 13, female, born NY, attended school) and Mary Seaver (age 19, female, born NJ, married in last year) [National Archives Microfilm Series M653, Roll 763, Page 52, Lines 21-31].
