In the 1850 US census, the William Seaver family resided in the 6th Ward of Providence, Providence County, Rhode Island. The household included William Seaver Jr. (age 42, merchant, born MA), Louisa L. Seaver (age 41, born RI), William H. Seaver (age 12, born RI), James A. Seaver (age 8, born RI), Mary L.
