William Rande was dead before 2 April 1560 when, at an inquiry into what land held of the manor was heritable [i.e., had to pay the lord of the manor the tenant's best beast at his death), Peter alone came and acknowledged that he held tenements somewhat differently described but of the same names as those mentioned above, to wit: - Kachmemans late Betts; Serles Hope; late Sydley; Petfield.
