Scottish archives have the inventory of William Orr, stationer, brother of Andrew Orr, reg. 5 may1851 Glasgow (scotlandspeople). Queen's Printers for Scotland in the fifties, sixties and seventies of the nineteenth century. Andrew, James and William Orr are listed separately as members of the firm 1835-47. Their name appears in the imprints of chapbooks between 1832 and 1847. It is the only name to appear on any of the series of stereotyped chapbooks most of which have the imprint 'Glasgow: printed for the booksellers'. Nos 43, 100 and 161-165 of the regular series bear the imprint Francis Orr & Sons.
