    William Newsom died in 1691, aged 43 years. His widow then married George Foster (1639-97) by whom apparently she had no children. However, George Foster had children by his first wife, Elizabeth, and two of his daughters by his first marriage married their step-brothers: Mary Foster married Henry Hart and Elizabeth Foster married Thomas Hart.
