W. Penrose "Penny" Myers Jr., 55, of York Springs, Latimore Township, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1999 at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Born Feb. 2, 1944 in Dillsburg, he was a son of William Penrose Myers Sr. of York Springs and the late Mary E. McCurdy Myers.
A graduate of Northern High School in Dillsburg and an Army veteran, Mr. Myers retired from Pennsylvania Steel Technologies, Steeltop, after 32 years of service.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Dillsburg; Cumberland Valley and Harrisburg Area Harley Owners' Group chapters; Steelton Moose Club; American Legion in Wormleysburg; Turnpike Ramblers Motorcycle Club; and Monaghan Fire Co. in Dillsburg.
In addition to his father, surviving are his wife of 27 years, Allie L. Sheriff Myers; one daughter, Tammy L. Myers of Dillsburg; twin brother John W. Myers Sr., of Grantville; one sister, Martena K. Baker of Manassas, Va.; two grandsons; and two nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor David L. Smith officiating. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, West Pennsboro Township.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
