MEBANE — Mr. William Paisley Mebane, 91, of 3667 Old Hillsborough Road, died at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center of Alamance after a one-month illness.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Sidney Mitchell Mebane Sr. and Susan Frances Nelson Mebane, both deceased. He was a retired farmer and a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Mr. Samuel Nelson Mebane of Hillsborough and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. William Holliday, pastor.

The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
