    Memorial for Nancy Marlow
Photo shows a gravestone with a double inscription, one for Nancy (1831-1899) and one for William (1824-1900). The style of the stone suggests that it is a later addition, not created and placed at the time of the burials.
Based on other information and records, the dates of death seem reasonable; the dates of birth do not.

  11. William's birth date, based on the 1850, 1860, and 1880 census records (which are the earliest records of his birth), suggest that he was born about 1832. In 1900 he said he was born in July, which is consistent, as well, with the year difference between the 1850 Census (taken in July) and the 1860 Census (taken in June). Later dates given for his birth year (1900 Census and gravestone inscription) are most likely the consequence of a common tendency at that time to exagerate one's age as one grew older.
