William E. Loughner, 79, of Grapeville, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, in Mercy Jeannette Hospital. He was born July 9, 1925, in Jeannette, a son of the late Ralph and Marie Scheff Loughner. Prior to his retirement, William was employed by Westinghouse Airbrake, Wilmerding. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette, and a former fireman and life member of the Grapeville Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, John Loughner; and a twin brother, Charles Loughner. William is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Otto Loughner; two sons, Eric Loughner and wife, Debra, of Virginia, and Chris Loughner, of Grapeville; a daughter-in-law, Mary Loughner, of Adamsburg; four grandchildren, Joseph Loughner and wife, Patti, and Lisa, David and Ann Loughner; two sisters, Mary Burkart, of Greensburg, and Helen Reger, of Claridge; and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
