William Henry Klemme was born on Thursday; October 31, 1935 in Iowa Falls; Hardin County, Iowa. He was the son of: Walter and Ruth (Last) Klemme. Bill graduated from the Alden High School. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1959 thru May 1961 and then again in December 1961 thru July 1962 during the Berlin Crisis. He farmed his entire life. He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Alden, Prairie Land Co-op Elevator Board for 12 years, Hilltop Trustee, Alden Township Trustee and was a member of the EAA of Iowa Falls since 1975. He was an avid aviation enthusiast, he had a commercial and instrument pilot rating. William Henry Klemme, age 74, passed away on Thursday; July 15, 2010 in a plane accident south of Iowa Falls. Those left to mourn his passing are: His brother: Wayne Klemme of Madison, South Dakota; his three sisters: Joyce Noren (Roger Langenbaugh) of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota; Dorothy (Marlyn) Burns of Mesa, Arizona and Jean (Pat) Rainbow of Golden Valley, Minnesota. His sister-in-law: Barb Klemme of Alden, Iowa. Also seven nieces and nephews: Ken Adams, Cynthia Adams, Sharon Adams, Rebecca Klemme, Glenda (Paul) Smith, Janet Klemme, and Kaitlyn Rainbow. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Ruth; an infant sister: Marjorie, and his brother: Franklin Klemme. May they rest in peace. May God bless his memory and give strength to those that mourn. Visitation will be from: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday; July 21, 2010 at the Surls Funeral Home in Alden, Iowa. Funeral services will begin at: 10:30 a.m. on Thursday; July 22, 2010 at the Immanuel Memorial United Church of Christ in Alden, Iowa. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Surls Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
