    William G. Kincaid, 79, 6178 E. Co. Rd. 640 N., Greensburg, died Monday, Feb. 7, 1994 at 10:25 a.m. in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. Born May 18, 1914 in Clarksburg, he was the son of the late Gilbert Gordon and Grace (McWilliams) Kincaid. On Dec. 9, 1945 he married Charlotte Metz in Decatur County. She survives. He was a 1933 graduate of Clarksburg High School and was an active member of the Springhill Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post, Greensburg, 40 & 8, Elks Lodge #475, and Eagles Lodge. He was also a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #36 for more than 50 years and was a member of Scottish Rite, and Murat Temple, Indianapolis, and a member of the Decatur County Scottish Rite and Shrine Club. He served a four year tenure during World War II in Sicily, Po Valley, Roman, and North Appenines. He was a retired livestock and grain farmer for the Kincaid farm where he was born. Other survivors include two sons, John William Kincaid, Greensburg and James Gordon Kincaid, Battle Creek, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Carlos (Mildred) Hite, Clarksburg; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Harley; one brother, John A. Kincaid; and one sister, Ellen Kincaid.

    ... On November 9, 1898, some years after the death of his father, Gilbert Gordon Kincaid married Grace McWilliams, daughter of Ephraim McWilliams. The marriage ceremony was solemnized at Mrs. Kincaid’s grandmother’s home, near Greensburg, the grandmother being Mrs. Sarah Meek. Four children have been born to this marriage, one of whom, the eldest, Mary Helen, died at the age of ten years. Of the others, Helen Mildred, who was born February 9, 1904, is now eleven years old; John Alexander was born on May 20, 1909; William Gordon, Jr. was born on May 18, 1914. ...
