James G. Kincaid, 59, passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Born in Greensburg, James was a food scientist with Kellogg's for 32 years. He was a graduate of Michigan State and Purdue University where he received the Outstanding Food Scientist Award and had multiple patents. Surviving are his wife, Leesa Martin of Dublin, Ohio; daughters, Sara (James) Bierschbach of Phoenix, Arizona, and Ashley Kincaid of Chicago, Illinois; son, Alex Kincaid of Akron, Ohio; brother, John Kincaid of Greensburg; and grandson, Arthur James Bierschbach. James was preceded in death by his parents, William and Charlotte Kincaid; and sister, Carol Harley. Service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Ft. Wayne, with Rev. Steven Ahlersmeyer from St. Peter's Lutheran Church officiating. Calling one hour prior to service. Calling also 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Purdue Foundation for the James Kincaid and Leesa Martin Food Science Scholarship.
