Williams Hank was the son of John Hanke (1712-1780) and Margaret Williams. He was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, about 1755 exact date unkwown... He was also the father of my ancestor Dr. Caleb Hank (1789-1869) and the grandfather of my great-great grandfather John W. Hank (1844-1925). He and his wife Susannah Berry Hank (daughter of David Berry of Rockingham, VA)(married about 1786) are also the parents of David Hank (1788-1854), John Hank (1793-1831), William Hank (1796-1869), and Jehu Hank (1801-1880). Although I have been to the Dropping Lick Cemetery twice, I have not found a marker there for either him or his wife Susannah Berry. However, I have concluded from the extensive and detailed manuscript of Myra Hank Rudolph (The Hank Family in America), that this is his final resting place. Lots of biographical information about these Hank family pioneers was researched and written by Myra in her 1932 manuscript.
