Facts and Events
In the 1841 census William would appear to be the eldest son of Abraham and Harriet Haigh. But in that census ages of everyone older than 15 were supposed to be rounded down to the nearest "5", so he could have been as old as 24 and this would match with the 1851 census when he appears at the bottom of the list as a "boarder". With this limited bit of information he has not been traced after this date.
With Abraham and Harriet not marrying until 1828 when they were 26 and 22 respectively, it is doubtful if William is their son, although he could be a son of Abraham by an earlier unknown marriage. A further check of baptisms for William yielded no sons named William born to an Abraham Haigh.
