1st lumberman in Mersea Ontario, Canada. and then bought farms in Sandwich, Ontario, Canada. He became captain of large sea-going sailing vessels, on one of which he met Emile La Duke and they got married. Age of 60 he retired and went back to Sandwich and became a private detective and harbour master. He sold out and went to Algoma to prosepect, owning a number of mines. In 1900, William got caught in blizzard and lost one foot and the toes of his other foot. He had a large fruit farm in Michigan. He moved in with his sister Louisa Adelaide Agla at the Arner Ontario house. Died at Arner at age 80.
