(13) Deacon WILLIAM FLINT, 4th son of Thomas (2), born
July 17, 1685, and died October 2, 1736.
Farmer, and lived in the North Precinct of Reading, on land
given to him by his father, by deed bearing date March 22, 1720,
the consideration being "the natural affection" he had for his son.
This " parcel of land, containing about six score acres," is situate
on the south side of the river, and about half a mile below the
centre of the village. The easterly bound of this land is described
as being "near to the saw-mill." He was elected deacon of the
precinct church, June 28, 1727, and served nine years.
He married, April 30, 1713, Abigail Nichols,
Nine children.
