Court Record
- December Call Term Decr. 8th 1884
- At a Call Term of the Simpson County Court begun and held at the Court House in Franklin, Simpson County, Kentucky on the 8th day of December 1884, present then J.S. Sanford Judge.
- On Motion of R.W. Akin and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that W.A. Estes departed this life on the __ day of ___, 1884 in said County intestate leaving surviving him his widow Margaret E. Estes, who in Open Court waived her right to administer on said decedents estate and recommended R. W. Akin for said trust it is therefore ordered that said R.W. Akin be, and he is hereby granted letters of Administration, upon the estate of said decedent. Whereupon in open Court he took the oath required by law, and with W.W. Akin his surety executed and acknowledged bond to the Commonwealth of Kentucky conditioned according to law, which bond is approved by the Court.
- It is ordered that W.J. Dunn, Y.H. Dodson and Wm. P. Blown? or any two of them who being first duly sworn or appraise the personal estate of W.A. Estes deceased, and they will return the appraisement to this Court within three months from the date hereof, also a list of articles and value of each set apart to the widow separately from the articles appraised for sale.

- 1 Cooking Stove & Appendages & other Cooking utencils 5.50

- Simpson County Court, January Term 1885
- The foregoing appraisement of the Estate of W. A. Estes dec'd was presented and filed in Open Court and the same was Ordered to record which is now done accordingly.
