Son of Abraham, grandson of Mordecai, one of seven (?) children including brothers Sam and Louie and a single sister, Fruma/Freda. Immigrated to United States in 1904. By the 1920 U.S. Federal Census, William was a naturalized citizen and a general plumber. By the 1930 census, he was a partner in a plumbing store and by the 1940 census, he was the owner of both his home and his plumbing business and had a live-in maid.
