Sandy Creek News, 9 June 1898: RICARD Will Durgee died Monday morning. Funeral will be held Thursday at the church.

PINE MEADOWS William Durgee died at the home of his parents on Monday morning, aged twenty-seven. He was popular among the young people, his pleasant and obliging manner winning him friends wherever he went. Besides his parents he leaves three brothers Charles, Claud, and Clayton, and one sister, Clara. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their affliction. The funeral will be on Thursday, from the church in Ricard.
