Pulaski Democrat, 1 Feb 1939: MRS. MARY JANE DURGEE Mrs. Mary Jane Durgee, aged 84 years, widow of George Durgee, died at her home here Wednesday afternoon after a very short illness. She had lived fifty years in the home where she died. After the death of her husband, which occurred eleven years ago, her son, Clayton made his home with her until he returned to Patterson, N.J. Then another son, Charles of Orwell, stayed with her winters and her only daughter, Clara, stayed with her summers, thus making it possible for their mother to live in her own home where she had lived so many years. She was born at Amboy, the daughter of James and Ellen Nichols Kinney. Surviving are two sons, Charles of Orwell, Clayton of Patterson, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Clara Beach of New York City; and five grandchildren, Mrs. Don Minor and Mrs. Clarence Hager of Orwell, Marvin Durgee of Syracuse and two grandchildren in Illinois. Services were conducted at the home... Saturday by Rev. Charles Martin of Richland. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery Williamstown. The bearers were...

GEORGE DURGEE Ricard, Jan. 26-- Services for Mrs. Mary Jane Durgee, widow of the late George Durgee, who died at her home in Ricard Wednesday after a long illness, will be held at the home... by the Rev. Charles T. Mertin of Richland, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. She was the daughter of James and Ellen Nichols Kinney and was born in the town of Amboy 84 years ago. She had always made her home in the eastern end and had lived for more than 50 years in the house where she died. Survivors include two sons, Charles Durgee of Ricard and Clayton Durgee of New York; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Beach of New York, and five grandchildren.
