== Biography ==William was born on 4 November 1879 in Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was the son of John Duncan and Nancy Wilson. [1]
He was described as being a white, male with blue eyes and light colored hair. He was of medium height and slender build in 1918. [2]
In 1880 He was 1 year old and living with his parents in Union, Nicholas County, Kentucky, United States. [3]
I have been unable to locate the family in the 1900 Census. [4]
In 1910 He was living with his parents and 4 siblings in Magisterial District 6, Fleming County, Kentucky, United States. He was listed as being 29 and single. [5]
On Sept 12th, 1918 He was living on Route 2 in Ewing, Kentucky when he registered for the World War I Draft. He reported that he was a self employed farmer and his father was his next of kin. [2]
He married Matilena McFarland (1888-) on 20 Nov 1918 in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky, United States. [6]

In 1920 William H. And Lena were living in Fleming County, Kentucky, United States. He was working as a farmer. [8]

Before 1935 He moved his famIly back to Fleming County. They were living in Magisterial District 6, Fleming, Kentucky, United States in 1935 and 1940. He was working his own farm. [9]
He passed on 13 February 1961 in Cowan, Fleming, Kentucky, United States from Bronchial pneumonia brought on by arteriosclerosis. [1]
He was laid to rest on February 16th in the Burke Graveyard in Fleming County, Kentucky. [1][10]
