Doris' father Maynard and William are 5th cousins. Their common ancestors are Georg Leonhardt Krumrein (1717-1779) and Barbara Ridmann ( -abt 1776).
William lived with his parents during the 1930, 1940 and 1950 US Federal Censuses.

William B. Crumrine, Jr., 88, entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the York Hospital. Born March 9, 1926, in Hanover, he was the son of the late William B. and Ruth E. (Emmert) Crumrine. Bill was the loving husband of Charlene E. (Wiles) Crumrine with whom he would have shared 37 years of marriage on March 17, 2015 and his late wife Doris A. (Crouse) Crumrine with whom he shared 27 years of marriage until her passing on March 13, 1975. Bill graduated from Eichelberger High School in 1944 and served his country proudly during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps from June 1944 to October 1945. He then went on to receive his undergraduate degree from Shippensburg in 1950 and his Masters plus 30 at the University of Maryland with a secondary principal's certificate and a counselor's certificate. From 1950 to 1983 he served as a teacher/ counselor in the Hanover Public School District. Beginning at about age twelve, Bill began playing saxophone and enjoyed doing so all his life, playing with most dance bands in South Central PA, fourteen years with the Four Guys and most recently with the Jazzberries. Bill also served as Secretary/Treasurer of Local 49, American Federation of Musicians and was instrumental in getting the bandshell built at Codorus State Park. From 1960 to 1996 Bill served as District Manager for the Franklin Life Insurance Company in York, Adams and Franklin Counties. Bill was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Hanover. He enjoyed music, fishing and traveling. In addition to his wife, Charlene, Bill is survived by three children, William B. "Chip" Crumrine III and wife Michele, Jodi Bunty and husband Rick, and Terri L. Ormond and husband Robert; a grandson, Michael R. Ormond and wife Jennifer; step grandson, Robert L. Ormond, Jr. and wife Renee; a step granddaughter, Taylor Musselman and husband David; two great-granddaughters, Mylie and Caylor Ormond; two step great-granddaughters, Braden and Dylan Musselman; and one step great-grandson, Trey Ormond. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Bill's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 129 Charles Street, Hanover, with the Rev. Eric B. Stenman officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover.
