Death Tuesday night claimed William Carlyon, 62, for 45 years a resident of Butte, at the family residence, 11 West Center street. He was born in Scranton, PA, and was a member of the Miners union and Butte ?, No 11, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eliza Carlyon; four sons and two-daughters-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Carlyon, Mr. and Mrs Arthur Carlyon, William Jr., and Howard Carlyon; two sons-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hansen, and nine grandchildren, all of Butte; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carlyon, Muskegon Heights, Mich,; three brothers-in-law and sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cornish, Flint, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nichols, Ishpeming, Mich., and Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Bowes, Ishpeming; Two sisters, Mrs Lemeniah Oates of Butte and Mrs. Mary Northey of Alburn, Minn; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marina Cocking, Spokane, Wash., and a number of nieces and nephews in Butte, Ishpeming and Spokane.
