Supplement for Dec 1925, Families of the Eastern Shore, 3.

... ALICIA ... Her first husband was George Traveller (see N-n xi-135.). After his death she married William Burdett, who died before the 31 August, 1643 (N-n ii-253.) ...

The widow, ALICE or ALICIA TRAVELLER, married WILLIAM BURDETTE about the 28 Apr. 1643. (N-n ii-231.) [These dates are all Old Style.]

Mr. WILLIAM BURDETTE was also on the Eastern Shore at an early date. That he had a wife before the widow TRAVELLER, is shown by the records. (See N-n i-12. 19 Feby. 1642.) That he was a widower in 1633 is shown by a very quaint record in which a certain Scovell makes a wager that "Mr. Burdette should never have the widow Sanders." (N-n i-12.)
