    wife's son Geo. Traveller, and dau. Elizabeth.
    Bequeaths "£5 to the lower parish of Northampton for a communion cup and plate if it will hold out. otherwise one cupp only, or, as the ministers and their church wardens shall think fitt." Thos. Burdett to have 1 doz. silver spoons with his name engraved upon them Alice, his wife, to have the charge of the education of his child and to live on his lands. Asks that "Mr. John Rozier, Capt. Wm. Stone and Mr. Thomas Johnson take special care of he educacon of my Tender Sonne"

    Mr. Thomas Burdet, Plt.; Mr. Francis Batchelor, Def.; petition states Mr. Richard Rich rec'd of Mrs. Ane Doughty 7 silver spoons and engaged to deliver 6 silver spoons marked EB the next return out of England and after his arrival in the Province did acknowledge to have brought 6 silver spoons for the afsd. Doughty but never delivered them; his atty. Francis Batchelor said to have the spoons; Ane Doughty, age ca. 42 years, swore that the spoons she sent home by Mr. Richard Rich for her son Burdit's use which were 7 in number and EB, in silver and desired that he was to return to this deponent 6 new ones for them and to have them marked with EB of this deponents daughters child's name and Mr. Richard Rich brought them as was affirmed to the deponent by her cousin Elisabeth Calvert who had them in her hand she demanded them of Mr. Richard Rich who would not deliver them to any but this deponent; defendant said plaintiff arrested him, not as attorney of Mr. Richard Rich; therefore requests non-suit; granted

Rich gave to Batchelor; plaintiff withdrew case

    June 25 1663; There was a man found adrift in Burdit's Creek upon the 24 Jun by Mr. Thomas Burdit and notice being given a jury was empanelled Francis norington, foreman, whose verdict was finding 2 holes in his breast that he was shot to death and thrown in the water; the jury men were Thomas Robisson, Samuell Eaton, John Ashbrook, Jeremy Dickison, John ward, Thomas Wharton, Samuel Palmer, John Cabell, William Allan, Nehemiah Littell, Luke Green The deceased party was clothed with a serge doublet open sleeves and faced with half silk damask, a serge pair of britches and a pair of canvas drawers a pair of "old mild" stockings and an old shirt, red bearded and for his age he was so much disfigured that we could not judge
