"Funeral services for Willard Stansbery, 71, whose death occurred at hishome west of Brownstown, at 11 oclock Friday morning, will be heldtuesday afternoon, with services at the home at 2 oclock followed byservices at Salem Methodist church in Mifflin Township at 2:30 in chargeof Rev. W.E.Ballinger of Cygnet, assisted by Rev. Edward H Jones.Interment will be made in the Stansbery cemetery. Mr Stansbery's deathwas attributed to complications, and followed an illness of about sixmonths. He had been bedfast about four weeks. Mr. Stansbery was born inMifflin township, February 14, 1872, the son of Ephraim and CharlotteStansbery. He was twice married, the first wife, Larkie Zeller, withwhom he was united in marriage in January, 1898 passing away October 22,1927. He married Mrs Reva Sorgen July 4, 1935. She survives. Fivechildren were born to the first union, Harold Stansbery of Lima; Helenwife of Darius Moore of Marion; Hazel wife of John Stober of nearForest; Lula wife of Joseph Riedlinger of near Upper and a son, Everettwho died in infancy. Aside from the wife and the four children, WildaStansbery by the second marriage, and a stepson Kenneth Clay at home,also four brothers: Henry of Kenton, and George, Joseph and EphraimStansbery of Mifflin township; six grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Three brothers, Lawrence, William and Harvey Stansbery, andsister Mrs Eliza Dome, have preceded him in death. Mr Stansbery operateda saw mill and blacksmith shop and in former years did threshing andengaged in farm work, in earlier years he attended the former ChristianUnion church at Brownstown and was a trustee in The church. He had livedat his late home about fourty years. He was well known in the communityand leaves many friends. Friends may call..."
