Bio: Wetherel Latimer was the son of Jonathon Latimer and Lucretia Griswold.
He married first Abigail Fitch in 1780 in New London, Connecticut.
He married second Margaret Anderson in 1793 in Davidson County, North Carolina, now Tennessee.

Wetherel Latimer served in the Revolutionary War, including a time under father, Colonel Jonathan Latimer.
He applied for a Pension while living in Carroll County, Tennesse, and then moved to Pope County, Arkansas, and had his pension forwarded to Arkansas.

Wetherel Latimer moved from New London, Connecticut to Davidson County, North Carolina (now Tennessee) in 1790.

Wetherel Latimer moved from Davidson County to Sumner County Tennessee about 1793, the same year he married Margaret Anderson. Therefore most, if not all, of his children with Margaret were probably born in Sumner County.

Witherel Latimer probably moved from Sumner County to Bedford County Tennessee between 1814 when he sold land in Sumner County, and 1817, when he was involved with the Fork Meeting House in Bedford County.

He was living in Carroll County, Tennessee, and appeared in the 1830 Census. Starting in 1837 he received a Revolutionary War Pension in Carroll County.

In 1837, Wetherel Latimer requested his pension be changed to send to Pope County, Arkansas where he had recently moved.

His obituary was published as follows:
    "Arkansas Gazette" Nov 28, 1838, p. 3, col. 5 (Ref: Arkansas Gazette, 1819-1879", 976.773 v42c, FHC-Orange)
"Witheral Latimer: Also in the same county [Pope] on the 26th, Mr. Witherel Latimer, in his 88 year."

His daughter Jane Latimer, married Robert Wilson, and probably died in Pope County, Arkansas, and members of that family lived near Atkins. Please advise if another location is proven.
