WASHINGTON4 DOBYNS, b 16 Sept 1777 (fn 396 <ddcvfn.htm>) (See ¶333)

¶333 WASHINGTON4 DOBYNS (SAMUEL3, CHARLES2, DANIELI) (from ¶328) was born in Richmond Co. Va. on 16 Sept 1777. He removed to Montgomery Co. Va., where he and DANGERFIELD DOBYNS appear in a deed on 1 Sept 1800. WASHINGTON DOBYNS appears in other deeds in Montgomery Co. where he apparently lived in Blacksburg in 1803 and 1806. (fn 408 <ddcvfn.htm>) He appears on the personal property tax lists of 1805, 1807 and 1810 and in the U.S. Census of 1810, where he is shown as one male only, with no wife or children. No record of WASHINGTON DOBYNS appears in Montgomery Co. after 1810.

It appears that WASHINGTON DOBYNS moved back to Richmond Co. Va. in 1811 or 1812 where, by Richmond Co. marriage bond dated 18 Nov 1812, he married PRISCILLE GLASCOCK. They lived at Indian Banks, the GLASCOCK's plantation, at Simonson Wharf on the Rappahannock River in Richmond Co.It appears that their CHILDREN wereSAMUEL STRAUGHAN5 DOBYNS, b ca 1815 (See ¶334)WILLIAM5 DOBYNS m Richmond Co. bond dated 22 May 1852 CATHERINE AUSTINJOHN HENRY5 DOBYNS, m.
