This article clarifies that Walter Renwick, brother of Mrs. Jennie Gordon and Mrs. Abbie Eigenschenck was also the father of Margaret Divine nee Renwick.
Mrs. Margaret Divine, daughter of the late Walter Renwick of Mason Court here, on Wednesday, by counsel, entered a complaint at law with Circuit Clerk George A. James in which she asks that deeded lot and home given his two sisters be returned to the estate of which she is administratrix.
Mr. Renwick, who succumbed Oct. 18th shortly after drawing a warrant deed giving Mrs. Jennie Gordon and Mrs. Abbie Eigenschenck right to his property, left Mrs. Divine, she charges, as only heir at law and next of kin.
His daughter charges that his deed was signed over when he was ill and infirm and incompetent. He was 76 at death, the complaint sets forth and had been long ill. The plaintiff asks that the deed be set aside, that the sisters be restricted by order from selling, mortgaging or otherwise encumbering the property in question, a lot and eight-room house on Mason Court near Loomis street and asks further that Almond Overlee, the occupant, be vacated.
The plaintiff, through her attorney, asks trial of the complaint by jury.
