Final rites were conducted Monday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Slater Funeral Home in Genoa for Mrs. Jennie Gordan, 92, who died Friday morning at the Villa Rest Home, Genoa, where she had been a patient for the past eleven years. She had been in failing health since 1950 and had been at the Sycamore Hospital recently, since having a stroke. The Rev. Glenn E. Ames of the Genoa Methodist Church, officiated and burial took place in the Ohio Grove cemetery.
Born January 24, 1861, at South Grove, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Renwick. She married Tom Gordan. During the past 57 years she has served as housekeeper in the home of the late Charles Whipple.
Several nieces and nephews survive.
